Home to the endangered African grassowlThe farm lies beyond the eastern extremity of the Magaliesberg, near Bronkhorstspruit and east of Pretoria. The farm is home to a number of stone circle ruins. The circle ruins are typical towns and settlements built by old African civilizations. They are between 2000 - 3000 years old. There are an estimated 200 000 stone circles, which lie scattered across thousands of square kilometers of the African landscape. They bear witness to the existence of early civilizations who mined this area for gold thousands of years ago. The stone circle ruins, which cover all of southern Africa, comprise the largest continuous stone settlements ever built on earth.Self guided hikes on a network of paths that weave their web across the 500 ha farm with hours of exploration are a worth while activity. The farm contains a delightful small dam, patches of cool, wooded areas, a vlei, grassy plains, craggy rock formations in the koppies, stone circle ruins as well as an incredible view of Kungwini lake (former Bronkhorstspruit dam).
